About The Author

Folorunsó Folówóselé attended Government College Ibadan, Nigeria. He received BSc Honors Degree in Physics from the University of Ibadan, Graduate Diploma in Surveying from the University College London, BS in Architecture, Master in City Regional Planning and MA in Public Administration from the Ohio State University. His career in the Public Service began in the Western State of Nigeria in August 1969 and later the Federal Civil Service in February 1981. An Assistant Director at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, he moved to the Urban Development Bank of Nigeria at its inception in 1992 as Assistant General Manager. He retired in 2005 as a General Manager. God's Own City (2000) (re-edited and published in the United States as God's Own City - An African Memoir, 2012) is his first major published work. Pomposity and Power (2012) is a new edition of his Power and Pomposity (2004). Folówóselé, a freelance journalist and Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors and the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, is happily married with children.
