En los años 60 comenzó a gestarse en Uruguay un deterioro social que culminaría, así como ocurrió con los demás países del continente y gracias al Plan Cóndor orquestado desde EEUU, con el advenimiento de una dictadura militar.

Ajeno a la política, un huérfano pisa el mundo para comenzar a construir su existencia. Los aconteceres del orbe acompañan su desarrollo, hitos que en varias generaciones dejarían su impronta.

Cuarenta años más tarde, una pareja de jóvenes con indicios de artísticas inquietudes son unidos por el azar para comenzar a desentrañar la madeja de Ojostristes, un hombre desde el cual asoman vestigios del joven y el niño que alguna vez fugara del orfanato.

Uniendo sus experiencias, estos jóvenes interactúan con los viejos fantasmas de Ojostristes, visualizando sus aprendizajes, tristezas y alegrías. Es esta una novela existencialista con visos de humor, drama y romance. Apenas una semblanza de la vida misma.

Fitipaldi, Félix Acosta: -

Nací en Montevideo en el mismo año que Ana Belén (de acuerdo a una de sus canciones) y morí de amor doce años después para ahogarme en poemas inútiles. Renacido sin corazón recién más allá de los veinte, trabajé en su reconstrucción hasta que estuvo acorazado y listo para navegar sin sufrir daño, esta vez en mares de prosa y piel tierna casi en partes iguales.
Me gané la vida como pude con los medios que tuve a mi alcance, siempre en tareas alejadas de la literatura pues para ella, amiga de mi soledad, era el tiempo que el amor y el trabajo dejaba libre.
Llegaron así mis hijas de la carne y mis hijos de las letras, creciendo cada uno a su manera, comiendo de mi pan y satisfaciendo mi espíritu con su mera existencia.
Lo demás está allí, reposando en mi espera de nietos y unos pocos libros en oferta. Mis hijas en su buen camino. Los libros, pues, si se venden o se leen no me interesa; son tiempo ganado, tiempo sólido, lo que pude construir cuando bien podría haber perdido el tiempo. No más que eso.
