Following God's ways, however, would likely be more helpful than months of pity parties, consultations with divorce attorneys, or unnecessary medications. In fact, if more people would spend more time and money practicing marriage as God de-signed it, they could save tens of thousands of dollars. Those dollars could then be spent on really nice trips or second homes, instead of wasted on practices that do not help marriages.

David W. Hall (Ph.D) is the Senior Pastor of Midway Presbyterian Church, outside of Atlanta, GA. He has been married for almost 4 decades (to the same patient woman), has 3 grown children, and 7 grandchildren. He is the author or editor of over 30 books.
