Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Wirtschaftsgeographie, Note: 1, Universität Hamburg (Geographisches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Fokus dieser Diplomarbeit soll auf den Transformationsprozessen liegen, die diejenige Branche betreffen, die nach Pütz am schnellsten auf Veränderungen reagiert, nämlich die Einzelhandelsbranche in Prag. Als Folge des wirtschaftspolitischen Wandels erlebte dieser Wirtschaftszweig bedeutende Umstrukturierungen, die durch Auswirkungen auf Immobilienmärkte, Angebots- und Nachfragesituation, sowie die räumliche Struktur der Stadt Prag, besonders gekennzeichnet war. Die Abschaffung sozialistischer Planungsministerien und der zunächst schleppende Aufbau neuer Institutionen und Kapazitäten führte in den 90er Jahren zu administrativen Lücken, die erst nach und nach geschlossen werden konnten. Mangelnde Kompetenzverteilung und Durchsetzungskraft sowie eine mangelnde Konzeptplanung in der Prager Stadtplanung lie en internationalen Handelsgesellschaften und Projektentwicklungsunternehmen zunächst weitgehend freie Hand bei ihrer Standortplanung. Im Zuge der fortschreitenden Konsolidierung der Reformen ab Anfang 2000 und mit der Ausarbeitung eines langfristigen strategischen Stadtentwicklungskonzepts, begannen sich die Akteurskonstellationen im Prager Einzelhandel zu verändern. Der handlungsgeographische Ansatz, der räumliche Muster und Strukturen durch die Erforschung von zu Grunde liegenden Handlungen und Entscheidungsprozessen soll der vorliegenden Arbeit aufgrund der oben geschilderten Ausgangssituation als methodische Basis dienen. Dem entsprechend stehen die Bedeutung de am Transformationsprozess beteiligten Akteursguppen sowie ihre Einflussnahme auf Standortentscheidungsprozesse im Einzelhandel im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchung, wobei Veränderungen der räumlichen Einzelhandelstruktur sowie deren Auswirkungen auf die stadtplanerischen Konzepte ebenfalls wesentliche Analysegegenstände sind
