Das vorliegende Buch soli mithelfen, das volkswirtschaftliche Problem des Korrosions- schutzes an wasserfuhrenden Anlagen unter materialokonomischen Gesichtspunkten zu losen. Dabei werden Hinweise fUrSofortmaBnahmen sowie fUr langfristig zu losende Aufgaben gegeben. Die gewahlte Darstellungsform ermoglicht Projektanten, Herstel- lern und Betreibern wasserfUhrender Anlagen, die Ursachen von aufgetretenen Korrosionsschaden zu erkennen, AbhilfemaBnahmen einzuleiten bzw. optimale Korro- sionsschutzmaBnahmen anzuwenden. Dabei ist besonderer Wert auf die Zusammen- hange zwischen Funktion bzw. Konstruktion der Anlagen sowie deren Technologie zum einen und der Auswahl von KorrosionsschutzmaBnahmen in Abhangigkeit von der Wasserqualitat, den verfUgboren Werkstoffen und den Betriebsbedingungen zum anderen gelegt worden. Ein nach korrosionschemischen und anlagentechnischen Gesichtspunkten aufgebautes Sachregister sowie eine Zusammenstellung der the- matisch geordneten, gultigen Standards, vorzugsweise aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum, erleichtern dem Leser die Arbeit. Die Probleme des Korrosionsschutzes in Meer-, Brack- und FluBwasser, in wasser- fUhrenden Anlagen der Kernkraftwerke und in speziellen Industrieabwo.ssern werden nicht behandelt, da hierzu bereits Fachliteratur vorliegt.
