Some of the areas covered are tendon rehabilitation protocols, stepwise marking for a cleft lip repair and for BBR as well as principles that guide decision making in facial palsy, breast cancer reconstruction and brachial plexus injuries. There are specific sections that provide clinically oriented information on Moh's micrographic surgery, medical lasers and the principles of fracture fixation in hand surgery.

Mubashir did his plastic surgery training in the East of England and the West Midlands. He is currently a locum consultant with the Major Trauma Service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with subspecialty interest in trauma reconstruction and skin cancers. In 2017, he completed his masters degree in reconstructive microsurgery from Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, with a thesis on preservation of local perforators in open tibial fractures.
