This book gathers selected high-quality research papers presented at the Fifth International Congress on Information and Communication Technology, held at Brunel University, London, on February 20-21, 2020. It discusses emerging topics pertaining to information and communication technology (ICT) for managerial applications, e-governance, e-agriculture, e-education and computing technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT) and e-mining. Written by respected experts and researchers working on ICT, the book offers a valuable asset for young researchers involved in advanced studies.

Xin-She Yang obtained his D.Phil. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and subsequently worked at the Cambridge University and the National Physical Laboratory (UK) as a Senior Research Scientist. He is currently a Reader in Modelling and Optimization at Middlesex University London and an Adjunct Professor at Reykjavik University (Iceland). He is also an elected Bye-Fellow at the Cambridge University and the IEEE CIS Chair for the Task Force on Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management. He was included in the "2016 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers" list.

R Simon Sherratt was born near Liverpool, England, in 1969. He is currently a Professor of Biosensors at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Reading, UK. His main research area is signal processing and personal communications in consumer devices, focusing on wearable devices and health care. Professor Sherratt received the 1st place IEEE Chester Sall Memorial Award in 2006, the 2nd place in 2016 and the 3rd place in 2017.

Nilanjan Dey is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Technology, Techno India College of Technology, India. He has authored/edited more than 75 books with Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, CRC Press and published more than 300 peer-reviewed research papers. Dr. Dey is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence; a Series Co-Editor of Springer Tracts in Nature-Inspired Computing (STNIC); and a Series Co-Editor of Advances in Ubiquitous Sensing Applications for Healthcare, Elsevier.

Amit Joshi is Director of the Global Knowledge Research Foundation and the International Chair of InterYIT at the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP, Austria). He has edited more than 40 books for Springer, ACM and other reputed publishers. He has also organized more than 50 national and international conferences and workshops in association with the ACM, Springer and IEEE in e.g. India, Thailand and the UK.
