The book covers various topics on AI-based agent for traffic and transportation systems, edge AI and 3D perception on smart mobility, multi-resolution simulation for service and interoperability, collaborative learning in traffic and transportation models, LiDAR in smart communication, intelligent multimodal transportation and logistics efficiency-leveraging advanced technologies to optimize operations, improve sustainability, and enhance user experience, next generation tolling systems using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and AI-based CCTV monitored surveillance.

Dr. Jyotsna Kumar Mandal, M. Tech. in Computer Science from University of Calcutta in 1987, awarded Ph.D. (Engineering) in Computer Science and Engineering by Jadavpur University in 2000. He was an associate professor of Computer Science for eight years at North Bengal University and assistant professor of Computer Science at North Bengal University for seven years. He also served as lecturer at NERIST, Itanagar, for one year. He is now Professor in CSE at the University of Kalyani. He has 36 years of teaching and research experience in coding theory, data and network security and authentication, remote sensing and GIS-based applications, data compression, error correction, visual cryptography, and steganography.
