A number of Undertakings were initiated under Public Sector in India by the people at the helm of affairs with great expectations and enthusiastic approach. Dr. B.B. Lal, holds M.Com. degree from the University of Allahabad, and Ph.D. degree from Ranchi University. He is a prolific writer and has great interest in the study of Profit Planning and Control (Budgeting) practices adopted by the public sector undertaking in India and has tried to throw a considerable light on
the subject given a short shrift so far.
