The Project Management & Construction Operations Manual encapsulates Abd-el-Baki's extensive experience in a handy, three-volume format.

In this first volume, Abd-el-Baki covers the challenges surrounding project estimation, the first phase in any construction project. He moves from estimating costs and selling prices to tender drawings, time schedules, contracts, and labor issues, supporting his efficient methodology with helpful exercises, templates, and charts. Possible difficulties are carefully explained and evaluated, and effective solutions are provided to resolve such issues.

Project estimation is a complex field, one that must be carefully navigated to avoid issues later on. Abd-el-Baki offers a no-nonsense approach to this most important step in the project management process.

Moufid Abd-el-Baki has forty-seven years in the construction industry. He spent four years working on structural design in Germany and Lebanon, primarily working with prefabricated reinforced concrete buildings.

Eight years of Abd-el-Baki's career were in Libya, where he managed construction operations on a range of industrial projects, including an airport, hospitals, factories, schools, and prefabricated houses.

For much of his career, Abd-el-Baki managed projects in Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. His projects included everything from power stations, cement factories, grain silos and flower mills, water and sewage treatment facilities, petro-chemical projects, to gas tanks, slipform structures, high-rise buildings, and concrete roadways.

The author of the three-volume Project Management & Construction Operations Manual, Abd-el-Baki, is currently working on his next project, Management in Brief.
