Die Hauptziele sind erreicht und neue Projekte stehen an. Im Rahmen eines Treffens der Projektgruppe kommt es zu folgendem Dialog: "Ich denke es ist an der Zeit, einen sorgfältigen Projektabschluss einzuleiten, der über die noch ausstehenden Arbeiten informiert, Raum für deren Erledigung bietet und darüber hinaus nutzbare Erkenntnisse für kommende Projekte liefert! - Sorgfältiger Projektabschluss? Projektauswertung? Da bin ich ganz anderer Meinung. Angesichts der anstehenden neuen Arbeiten sollten wir schauen, das Projekt so schnell wie möglich abzuhaken und uns nur auf die Arbeiten konzentrieren, die mit noch fälligen Zahlungen verbunden sind!" Vor rund 300 Jahren prägte der puritanische Philosoph und Politiker Benjamin Franklin die heute so gängige und dominante Redewendung: "Time is money." Fraglich ist nur, welche der oben genannten Positionen sich diese Redewendung zu Eigen machen kann. Sparen diejenigen Zeit und somit Geld, die ihre Projekte sorgfältig zu Ende bringen und sie gewissenhaft auswerten? Oder diejenigen, die sehr schnell zum Abschluss kommen und mit neuen Aufgaben betraut werden können? Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit dem Projektabschluss. Dabei kommen die Durchführungsgründe, die Gestaltung und die Inhalte der einzelnen Elemente unter Rückgriff auf verschiedene Literaturstellen zur Sprache. An diese Teile schlie en sich kritische Betrachtungen und eine Diskussion mit persönlichem Fazit hinsichtlich aufgeworfener Fragen an.
