Doch was ist so besonders an Projekten? Wie werden sie geleitet und können erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden? Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt den Abschluss des Blockseminares 'Projektmanagement' dar. Im Seminar wurden die einzelnen Elemente und Etappen des Projektmanagements behandelt. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine Thematik des Seminars aufgegriffen und soll nachhaltig vertieft werden: der Projektleiter und seine Kompetenzen. Dabei ist die Frage zielleitend, welche Kompetenzen der Projektleiter braucht, damit er das Projekt erfolgreich führen und abschlie en kann. Der Fokus liegt hierbei besonders auf den sozialen Kompetenzen. Projektmanagement ist ein Feld, welches vorrangig aus einer wirtschaftlichen Perspektive betrachtet wird. Durch den Schwerpunkt auf die sozialen Aspekte soll das Thema mit dem sozialen Studiengang verbunden werden. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Bedeutung des Projektleiters zu verdeutlichen und die verschiedenen Kompetenzen hervorzuheben. Des Weiteren sollen Unterschiede gegenüber anderen Führungsrollen beschrieben werden. Die verschiedenen Kompetenzen werden aufgezählt und beschrieben, damit ein guter Überblick geschaffen werden kann. Die Arbeit beginnt mit der Definition der Begriffe 'Projekt' und 'Projektmanagement' als Grundlage für die weitere Arbeit. Der Hauptteil der Arbeit besteht aus zwei Kapiteln: In dem einen Kapitel wird die Rolle des Projektleiters beschrieben, sowie seine Aufgaben, die Anforderungen, welche an ihn gestellt werden, mögliches Führungsverhalten und ein Überblicküber die verschiedenen Führungsstile wird gegeben. Das andere Kapitel ist den Sozialkompetenzen gewidmet, welche etwas ausführlicher beschrieben werden.
