Zusätzlich werden die unterschiedlichen Ansätze zur Professionalisierung des Projektmanagements dargestellt, wie etwa die Skalierung agiler Methoden. Im Ausblick werden die Auswirkungen von Megatrends auf das Projektmanagement skizziert und wie diese als Hebel zur Leistungssteigerung nutzbar gemacht werden können. Die 6. Auflage wurde komplett neu überarbeitet.

Prof. Dr. Reinhard Wagner hat mehr als 35 Jahre Führungserfahrung bei der Realisierung anspruchsvoller Projekte, bei der Ausgestaltung projektorientierter Unternehmen und bei der Weiterentwicklung des Projektmanagements in nationalen sowie internationalen Verbänden. Auf Basis praktischer Erfahrungen in der Automobilindustrie hat er 2004 gemeinsam mit Gerhard Hab die erste Auflage dieses Buches veröffentlicht und danach in mehreren Auflagen weiterentwickelt. Als Geschäftsführer eines auf Projektmanagement spezialisierten Beratungsunternehmens unterstützt er sowohl Automobilhersteller wie auch Zulieferer auf allen Ebenen der Wertschöpfungskette bei der Transformation.

Dr. Jens Erasmus hat sich auf die Transformation von projektorientierten Organisationen im internationalen Kontext spezialisiert. Der promovierte Wirtschaftsingenieur ist seit über zehn Jahren in der Automobilindustrie als Führungskraft und Berater im Projekt-, Portfolio und Prozessmanagement tätig. Als Hochschuldozent unterrichtet er "Projektorganisation" und ist Autor mehrerer Fachartikel. Er hat umfangreiche Veränderungen gestaltet und erlebt, mit welchen Herausforderungen sich Unternehmen konfrontiert sehen.
