Hierbei werden der Vergleich und die Darstellung gesund-heitlicher Auswirkungen einer Prothese im Mittelpunkt stehen. Weiterhin stellen wir die Ver-änderung der Möglichkeiten zur Anfertigung einer Prothese im Laufe der Zeit und die daraus resultierenden Neuerungen dar. Um den Umfang dieser Arbeit in einem überschaubaren Rahmen zu halten, beschränken wir uns überwiegend auf die Produkte der Firma Otto Bock. Dabei beschränken wir uns hauptsächlich auf Prothesen unterer Extremitäten und Hand-Prothesen. Zum besseren Verständnis der Funktionsweise und des Aufbaus einer modernen Beinprothese, beziehen wir uns auf das Bein und den Gangzyklus eines gesunden Menschen. Ausgehend von verschiedensten Kriterien, wie dem Mobilitätsgrad, der Amputationshöhe und den technischen Möglichkeiten, werden die jeweiligen Prothesenpassteile erklärt. Die einzelnen Prothesenträger haben jeweils verschiedene Ansprüche in Bezug auf die Leistungsfähigkeit im täglichen Leben. Um eine für den Mobilitätsgrad der Personen passende Prothese her-zustellen, wurde das MOBIS(R)-System entwickelt, welches ebenfalls in unserer Arbeit analysiert wird. Darüber hinaus stellen wir eine Übersicht der einzelnen Spezifikationen des Geniums und C-Legs her, die den Trägern im Alltag zu Nutzen kommen. Dazu zählt auch die Aqua-Line Prothese, die es ermöglicht Nassbereiche, wie zum Beispiel Schwimmbäder oder Duschen sicher zu betreten. Um Informationsmaterial zu sammeln, haben wir die Ausstellung des Unternehmens Otto Bock in Duderstadt besucht. Dabei verschaffte uns ein Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens einen Überblick über die Entwicklung des Unternehmens Otto Bock sowie von herausragenden technischen Leistungen der vergangenen Zeit.
