Dabei sollten Unterschiede der beiden Skulpturen und die Probleme der eindeutigen Zuordnung in die Epoche des m glichen K nstlers thematisiert werden. Die Statue des Tiber-Apollons wurde 1891 im Tiber nahe dem Ponte Palatino gefunden und steht heute im Museo Nationale Romano in Rom. Die H he der Figur mi t 2,04 m.1 Der K rper ist hoch aufgerichtet. Der rechte Fu ist leicht nach vorn und seitw rts gesetzt und tritt mit dem ganzen Fu ballen auf. Die Muskeln der Standbeinseite sind angespannt. Das gesamte Gewicht der Figur ruht auf dem linken Bein. Dadurch liegt die linke Schulter eindeutig tiefer als die rechte. Der rechte Arm h ngt locker herab. Obwohl der linke Arm von der Schulter abw rts nicht mehr erhalten ist, kann man anhand der Muskelanspannung davon ausgehen, da der Arm angewinkelt war. Die linke Hand war also erhoben. Der Kopf ist halb abgewendet. Die Haare fallen in langen Locken auf die Schulter. Das Deckhaar ist str hnig ausgearbeitet und m ndet auf der Stirn in kleine, Schneckenlocken". Diese Locken rahmen das jugendliche Gesicht zangenf rmig ein. Die Gestalt blickt nachdenklich auf den Gegenstand, den er einst in seiner linken Hand hielt. Geht man von Darstellungen auf M nzen oder Gemmen aus, ist es m glich, da die Figur in der rechten Hand einen Bogen und in der linken Hand einen Lorbeerzweig oder -kranz gehalten haben mu .
