This book takes the reader on a journey from the beginning of creation to the present age through a Biblical sieve, and after that, through a series of scientific filters. A foundation is established for the trustworthiness of Scripture and then the age of the earth is calculated using the Bible alone. Later, a chapter is dedicated to learning how to avoid being deceived by certain incorrect, yet commonly believed, conclusions from the sciences. Then, the historical record and scientific data are examined from outside the Bible to show how it dovetails amazingly well with Scripture. The book is written in such a way to appeal to the common person, despite its occasional graceful forays into the depth of various subject matters.

Shepherd, Brian D.: - Brian D. Shepherd was in the very first graduating class from Institute for Creation Research's School of Biblical Apologetics, earning a Master of Christian Education degree, with a joint major in Biblical Education and Apologetics, and a triple minor in Genesis Studies, Creation Research, and Biblical Humanities (summa cum laude, 2011). He graduated from Texas A & M University (1981) with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He is also a life member of the Dean Burgon Society and on the Advisory Council. He teaches at Gatewood Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Phyllis and his two children, Adrian and Hannah.
