Gepr�gt von seiner Ausbildung an der FANN, der Wiege der "afrikanischen Psychiatrie", beschloss Dr. Gualbert Ren� AHYI nach seiner R�ckkehr nach Benin und nach rund drei igj�hriger Berufst�tigkeit, seine Beobachtungen und die Merkmale bestimmter Erkrankungen zu vermitteln und zu versuchen, die kulturellen Aspekte und Werte darzulegen, die ihren so vielf�ltigen Ausdrucksformen zugrunde liegen. Er w�hlte die Beschreibung der Alterskrankheit, der Depression des schwarzen Afrikaners, die Neuinterpretation von Geisterangriffen oder die psychosozialen Faktoren in der Schwangerschaft und im Wochenbett.
