Cet ouvrage introduit une méthodologie pour la définition de la qualité des données capteurs, qui abouti à une solution d'évaluation et de communication de la qualité de ces données. Cette méthodologie s'inspire des méthodologies existantes et propose un contexte d'évaluation en considérant les facteurs du contexte d'acquisition, la gestion des métadonnées qualité et la communication de ces aspects en temps réel. La méthodologie proposée est supportée par un prototype de visualisation appelé MoSDaQ (Monitoring Sensor Data Quality) qui permet de visualiser via le Web les données issues des observations environnementales (e.g. surveillance volcanique), conjointement aux informations liées à la qualité des données capteurs en temps réel.
