Professeure des universités au Brésil, membre associée de l'IReMus, elle est fondatrice et directrice du projet International Exchanges on Music Theory and Performance et du groupe de recherche Musiques brésiliennes. Ses recherches portent sur l'analyse et l'interprétation de la musique des XXe et XXIe siècles, ainsi que sur les oeuvres des compositeurs français inspirées par le Brésil du XIXe siècle.
