Rabbi Dov Peretz Elkins, Author

In this book, Rabbi Dov Peretz Elkins highlights the significant role Morais played in shaping the American Jewish community and promoting unity among Jews of different backgrounds.

In 1851, Morais became the rabbi of Congregation Mikveh Israel, a Sephardic synagogue in Philadelphia. He served as the congregation's spiritual leader until his death in 1897.
