Die Kapitel 7, 8 und 9 in Band 3 sind eine Einführung zum technischen Verständnis von Elektrizität und der Funktionsweise von Photovoltaik. Ein PV-Betreiber ist aus rechtlicher Sicht für die elektrische Betriebsführung seiner PV-Anlage verantwortlich. Das hei t nicht, dass er alle Wartungen und die wiederkehrenden Prüfungen selber machen muss oder gar darf. Er muss sie lediglich beauftragen. Aber es bedeutet, dass er ein Gespür für die technischen Belange seines Investments braucht, um sich erfolgreich darum kümmern zu können. Es ist daher nützlich, wenn PV-Besitzer von den elektrischen Begriffen, die die Anlage betreffen, schon einmal gehört haben, wozu das Kapitel 7 dient. Kapitel 8 beschreibt die Herstellung und Funktionsweise von PV-Zellen und Modulen und erklärt typische technische Begriffe aus der Photovoltaik. Kapitel 9 beschreibt elektrische Nebenschauplätze, die aber für ein besseres Verständnis der PV-Technik wichtig sind. Hier finden sich praktische Antworten zu einigen theoretischen Zusammenhängen und zu oft im Alltag gehörten Begriffen.

Emanuel Saß, Jahrgang 1971, ist ein Photovoltaik-Mann der ersten Stunde. Im Jahr 1998 montierte der gelernte technische Betriebswirt und Elektromeister seine erste Solaranlage. Seitdem hat er unzählige PV-Systeme in ganz Deutschland geplant und umgesetzt, von der kleinen 3 kWp-Anlage auf der Garage bis zu Freiflächen- Solarparks mit über 1 MWp. Zudem betreibt er selbst mehrere PV- Anlagen, ist als mehrfach zertifizierter Gutachter für Photovoltaik tätig (gem. DIN EN ISO 17024, VdS, TÜV, FIB und BDSF) und hält deutschlandweit Vorträge zu allen relevanten Themen der Photovoltaik. Ehrenamtlich ist er im Prüfungsausschuss der IHK Passau engagiert. Jeder, der an Solartechnik interessiert ist, profitiert mit diesem Ratgeber von seiner langjährigen Erfahrung als Solarwirt und Sachverständiger. Seine zweite Leidenschaft gilt der Musik.
