Abseits von den bisherigen mehr oder weniger spekulativen Versuchen einer "Deutung" des Quantenformalismus geht es hier um eine systematische Untersuchung der Frage, wie eine rationale und präzise Theorie der mikroskopischen Struktur des Universums aufgebaut werden kann und sollte. Der Text umfasst die Modellierung der realen quantenmechanischen Eigenschaften des Universums, die Formulierung eines widerspruchsfreien Systems deterministischer Axiome - und somit die Lösung des Kochen-Specker'schen Problems - sowie die Definition eines konsistenten probabilistischen Gesetzes. Damit wird zugleich das Problem der Bell'schen Ungleichung gelöst. Aus dieser "Theorie ohne Subjekte" wird der bekannte Quantenformalismus abgeleitet. Es folgen Überlegungen zur Anwendbarkeit auf Quantenfelder sowie eine Vielzahl weiterführender Hinweise und Anmerkungen. Das vorliegende Werk richtet sich an Leser, die über grundlegende Kenntnisse des quantentheoretischen Formalismus verfügen, die Gründe für die Deutungsproblematik verstehen wollen und bereit sind, sich auf eine präzise mathematische und kanonische Formulierung der Quantentheorie als einer speziellen ontologisch realistischen Theorie des Universums und seiner Eigenschaften einzulassen.
