Recent Advances in Bioelectromagnetism and Subtle Energies: Implications for Health and Disease explores the new findings and emerging concepts in the fields of electromagnetism and human health. This book examines a range of topics from a biophysical and holistic perspective, including the effects of native and manmade electromagnetic fields on living organisms, the role of oxygen in cellular energy production, the intricacies of the human biofield, coherence in cellular and human health, quantum biology phenomena, the history and evolution of electrosensitivity, the development of electromagnetic hygiene, and promising healing modalities. Each chapter provides key insights about the biological effects of electromagnetic fields and their impact on human health and disease development, providing an ideal reference for scientists and readers interested in the recent advances in these areas.

Martel, Jan: - Jan Martel obtained a bachelor degree in biology in 2005 from the University of Sherbrooke in his hometown of Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada. He obtained a Ph.D. in 2011 during which he helped to determine the nature of nanobacteria observed in blood, seawater and meteorites as non-living biomimetic mineral-organic nanoparticles. Dr. Martel is currently Associate Researcher at the Center for Molecular and Clinical Immunology at Chang Gung University in Taiwan where he has published more than 60 scientific articles and reviews related to nanoparticles, ectopic calcification, phytochemicals, aging, gut microbiota and the effects of electromagnetic fields on health. His current research interests focus on using lifestyle interventions and recent advances in bioelectromagnetism to improve health and performance, prevent chronic diseases, and delay aging.
