Reisebeschränkungen und geschlossene Grenzen aufgrund von Covid-19 führten zu gro en Umsatzeinbrüchen im Flughafen-Vertrieb. Beliebte Urlaubsländer wie Spanien, Italien oder Fernreisen in sonnenreiche Gebiete waren plötzlich nicht mehr möglich. Dies führte auch zu Einbu en im Geschäft mit Sonnencremes. So sah sich die COSMETIC-life AG gezwungen ihr Kerngeschäft kritisch zu betrachten und interne Aktivitäten hinsichtlich Kosteneinsparungen genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen. Zusätzlich sah sich die COSMETIC-life AG durch die Pandemie mit Ineffizienten in digitalen Prozessen konfrontiert. Im Zuge dessen rückte das Thema Outsourcing in den Vordergrund. Dieses kann in wirtschaftlich turbulenten Phasen kosteneffiziente Aktivitäten hervorbringen, welche zum Fortbestand des Geschäfts beitragen. Das Controlling der COSEMTIC-life AG untersuchte daraufhin im Rahmen einer Vorteilhaftigkeitsanalyse, welche Prozesse bei einem Outsourcing kostengünstiger abgewickelt werden können. Auf Basis eingeholter Kostenvoranschläge für monatliche Servicegebühren für Finance & Accounting und IT-Support identifizierte das Controlling die Finanz- und Rechnungswesenabteilung sowie den IT-Support als für das Outsourcing geeignet. Die Aufgaben der Finanz- und Rechnungswesenabteilung sollen daraufhin an eine gro e Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Frankfurt am Main ausgelagert werden.
