Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Politik - Politisches System Deutschlands, Note: 1,0, Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Inwiefern sich die AfD bei der Wahl zum 21. Bundestag als rechtspopulistisch kategorisieren lässt, wird in dieser Arbeit geklärt. Hierzu wird zuerst eine Definition der Begriffe "Populismus" und "Rechtspopulismus" sowie eine Abgrenzung zum "Extremismus" festgelegt, um im Anschluss das Wahlprogramm der AfD zur Bundestagswahl 2021 mithilfe einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse auf vorher aus der Fachliteratur erarbeitete Merkmale hin zu untersuchen. Durch die Analyse des Wahlprogramms, welches am 11. April 2021 auf dem Bundesparteitag einstimmig beschlossen wurde, kann dabei, im Gegensatz zum Versuch einer Einordnung der AfD durch die Kommentare einzelner Mitglieder, Rückschluss über die Orientierung der Partei in ihrer Gesamtheit getroffen werden. Mit dem Wahlerfolg der Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) bei den Europawahlen im Mai 2014 mit 7,1% sowie den erfolgreichen Landtagswahlen in Sachsen, Brandenburg und Thüringen im selben Jahr, konnte sich zum ersten Mal eine Rechtsau enpartei national etablieren. Die AfD nutzte einen "populistischen Moment", welcher nach Lawrence Goodwyn eine Voraussetzung für ein Aufkommen einer solchen Bewegung ist. Genauer die Finanz- und Eurokrise, welche neben der bald darauffolgenden sogenannten Migrationskrise 2015 als Auslöser nicht nur für die Gründung, sondern auch viel mehr für den rasanten Aufstieg der AfD verantwortlich gemacht wird. Als Antwort auf die immer liberalere Ausrichtung der CDU als Regierungspartei und dem Fehlen einer echten parlamentarischen Opposition, welche einer Alternative zum momentanen Kurs bietet, füllt die AfD die aufgegangene Lücke und bietet eine, wie ihre Namensgebung bereits andeutet, Alternative für Deutschland. Hierbei wehrt sie sich allerdings gegen die Bezeichnung als rechtspopulistisch und setzte alles daran der Fraktion der Europäis
