Patrick Kinsch, né à Esch-sur-Alzette (Grand-Duché de Luxembourg) le 6 octobre 1962. Etudes universitaires à la Faculté de droit de l'Université de Strasbourg. Lauréat de la Faculté. Docteur en droit (1992). Habilitation à diriger des recherches (2002). Avocat au barreau de Luxembourg depuis 1988.
Chargé de cours, puis professeur au Centre universitaire de Luxembourg depuis1994, puis (depuis 2005) à l'Université du Luxembourg: professeur associé (2005-2008), professeur invité (2008-2014), actuellement professeur honoraire de droit international privé, en exercice (depuis 2014) .
Professeur associé à l'Université de Strasbourg (en droit international privé) de 1999 à 2005. A continué d'assurer des séminaires à la même université de 2005 à 2014.
Membre de la Cour permanente d'arbitrage (depuis 2008) .
Secrétaire général du Groupe européen de droit international privé. Membre du conseil d'administration de l'Institut Grand-Ducal, section des sciences morales et politiques. Membre du comité de la section luxembourgeoise de l'Association Henri Capitant. Co-dirigeant du Think Tank pour le développement de l'arbitrage au Luxembourg.
