Dr Tan recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA, 2017-2020). She is also a member of the IDSA Education Committee and the chairperson of the IDSA Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, Access & Equity. She has served as Chairperson of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Infectious Diseases (SOID, 2014-2018) and as a member of the AAP Committee on Infectious Diseases (COID, Redbook Committee, 2010 - 2018).
