Cependant, au lieu de cuisiner un délicieux repas, elle met le feu à sa cuisine ! Pire encore, elle se retrouve dans les bras d'un magnifique homme qui fait battre son coeur.

Jake Bryant, pompier de son état, a beau être un véritable héros, il est comme le plat indien que Lucy aimerait pouvoir préparer - torride, délicieux, et inoubliable. Par conséquent, sortir avec lui serait une énorme erreur. Et même si Jake la fait rire et qu'elle apprécie sa compagnie, Lucy est bel et bien déterminée: elle aura ce rendez-vous avec son comptable pas compliqué.

À la grande surprise de Lucy, Jake propose de lui apprendre à cuisiner afin qu'elle puisse impressionner son rendez-vous à l'aveugle. Très confiante en sa volonté, elle accepte. Mais rapidement, Lucy se surprend à avoir plus envie de cuisine épicée et exotique que d'un plat traditionnel sans sel et sans saveur. Est-ce que Jake arrivera à sauver la cuisson sautée de Lucy ?
