La République de Guinée a adopté les soins de santé primaire comme politique de santé suite à l'initiative de Bamako et depuis, les difficultés liées à l'approvisionnement n'ont cessé de s'accroitre. L'approvisionnement correct en produits médicaux étant l'élément indispensable de tout système de santé qui se veut efficace et efficient, des dispositions ont été prises pour assurer cette fonction majeure. Elles ont consisté entre autres à l'ouverture du secteur pharmaceutique aux initiatives privées dès 1884 suivi de la restructuration de la Pharma-Guinée pour donner naissance à la Pharmacie centrale de Guinée (PCG)en 1992 Malgré ces dispositions, les difficultés ont demeurées durant tout le processus en matière d'approvisionnement correct en produits médicaux. Soucieux de l'état de santé de la population, chaque acteur a développé des mécanismes pouvant permettre d'assurer un approvisionnement et la disponibilité des médicaments. Ces actions ont abouti certes à des résultats mais non coordonnés, entrainant des déséquilibres dans le système. Ce travail vise à faire une réflexion sur le système pharmaceutique de Guinée et à proposer des stratégies de relance du système public.
