Ride On, Zulu Woman is the true life story of Busisiwe Florah Radebe (Ma Radebe) exploring the struggle for freedom as a young woman born and raised in Apartheid South Africa. It explores many faces and challenges of coming of age as a black woman. Through the use of poetry and short stories, this book also explores her struggle for survival as a first-generation immigrant in America.

Ride On, Zulu Woman also explores a lot of cultural practices such as who names the children in the family, what the names mean, and the hope for the children to follow their names in real life. Readers will see and find bits and pieces of themselves in her story, as well as relate to what is happening in the world at large. It is Busisiwe's hope that her readers will feel at home and feel her presence as she opens the doors of her life's journey to them.

About the Author

Busisiwe Florah Radebe ((Ma Radebe)) was born and raised in South Africa during the Apartheid regime. When she departs this earth, she plans to donate her body to science, as a cadaver, so she can continue with her gift of teaching even from the other realm.
