A boxer's life is never easy. That has never been more true than for Liam Kelly, an Irish boxer with nothing to lose. He was an athlete going nowhere who became a fighter by accident and was discovered by a trainer looking for redemption. Together, their story would become one of the greatest boxing tales in history, but along the way, they would both have to learn that the hardest fights are not just inside the ring. The hardest fight is the journey to the top and all the sacrifices a fighter has to make to be champion. He would become a warrior inside the ring. He would become a hero to many. This is the story about the rise and fall of Liam "The Crusher" Kelly and how he became a legend.

"Making a Fighter" is the first book in the Liam Kelly Saga. Set in Chicago in 2008. The story takes us to the beginning of Liam Kelly's career and how he became a professional boxer. It also tells the story of how he first met, the legendary trainer George Coghlan. This is the story of how Liam learned to be a fighter and his first boxing match in the All Chicago Boxing Tournament...a fight that would become the most talked about event in last fifty years...the stuff of legends.

Blake, Marcus: - Marcus Blake was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1977. He grew up in Chicago and East Texas. His education is in History, Literature, Psychology, and Religion & Philosophy. Marcus Blake has studied at many universities throughout the United States, but his Alma Mater is Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, which is also where he wrote his first book, The Music of Life. Marcus Blake is a Poet, Musician, Comedian, Writer, and Historian. His books are The Music of Life, My Reflections, Returning Home. Sex Game. The Lonely Girl, Stories From Wrigley, 30 Minutes: Trust and Lies, 30 Minutes: Guilty Until Proven Innocent, 30 Minutes: A Soldier's Song, and 30 Minutes: A Badge of Honor. . He has taught in the public school system, served in the Army, and been a guest speaker at Education and Literary events throughout the world. Marcus Blake is also a Radio Host, his current show is Saturday Morning Nerd Show which can be heard on Saturday Mornings at www.thatnerdshow.com. He is a veteran of Rock and Roll shows as well as Political shows on the radio. Marcus Blake makes his home in the Dallas, Texas .
