Dabei werden Rituale häufig gar nicht wahrgenommen, obwohl diese sie schon lange still begleiten. Viele Menschen meinen sogar, sie benötigen Rituale gar nicht, sie wären unnötig und sie werden oft mit Mystik, Hexerei in Verbindung gebracht. Diese Meinungen ändern sich vor allem dann ganz schnell, wenn Kinder kommen, denn gerade diese bestehen auf lieb gewonnene Gewohnheiten, auf kleine und gro e Rituale wie Gutenachtgeschichten, Weihnachten, Osterfest usw. und beharren darauf, dass sie durch- geführt werden. Besonders Kinder brauchen Rituale, um sich in der Welt besser orientieren zu können und sich wohl zu fühlen. In der heutigen Zeit, in der wir in einer ständig verändernden Gesellschaft leben, können Rituale Kindern das Gefühl von Sicherheit, Stabilität, Geborgen- heit geben und sie können den Zusammenhang der Familie stärken.
