The year is 2260. After a second civil war, this time over the rights of robots and cyborgs, the United States of America is in bad shape. Most of its states have broken off, being absorbed by Canada and Mexico, with only a handful remaining. Most Americans just want peace, and chance to rebuild their war-torn country. Unfortunately for them, the fight for Transhuman rights is not over. Between the jingoistic Robot Freedom League and the sociopathic and power-hungry Renfield's, the battle for Transhuman rights is just beginning to heat up. Into this comes John Smith-101, a new type of cyborg, built from the ground up. Unjustly accused of a crime he didn't commit, and pursued by the Robot Freedom League for their own dark designs, he must turn to the mysterious Standard Technology, Inc, who may very well have their own designs on him...

I'm a Calgarian, born and raised. I've been working on the universe that Robots and Vampires is based on for nearly fifteen years, depending on how you count, and Robots and Vampires specifically for the last three. I'm working on my next novel, The Standard Tech Case Files: The Black Coats, which will be set in the same universe as Robots and Vampires, but some two hundred years earlier. I'm a genre writer. I love science-fiction, fantasy, hardboiled detective novels, and anything that's descended from cyberpunk. I'm not too keen on authors that reject these categories, and I intend for my universe to be celebration of genres. Specifically, what TvTropes refers to as the Punk-Punk genres: anything descended from cyberpunk and film noir. Yes, that will include steampunk. At the end of the day though, I'm just another punk kid from Calgary trying to earn a dime.
