About The Author

W. Merritt, Karl: - Karl W. Merritt was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, and graduated from Morehouse College with a degree in Business Administration. He later earned a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. Merritt served more than twenty-one years in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps before entering ministry and serving as pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Stafford County, Virginia. After later work in real estate, he retired from income-producing employment in 2009 to volunteer full-time with Great Oak Youth Development Center Inc. He is also the author of From the Rough Side of the Mountain...Reflections of a Country Preacher.
