The highs were very high in the drug trade; it was the '70s and Rooster was an insider. His first deals having been made from the back of a bicycle. By the time he hit 17, he was sharing joints with celebrities. Not bad for a long haired teen from a hick town in Northern Cali. But like his father's belt, things that go up come down. Rooster's life would crash and crash again in insurmountable devastations culminating in Rooster executing a man for money and drugs. The laughter became great sorrow. Rooster received a life without parole sentence (LWOP.) Vowing to stay clean and without infractions, he has done so for nearly 30 years even in the war zones which are California prisons.

With bull's eye clarity ROOSTER'S FIRST LIGHT, unearths and examines the genuine pleasures and pains of life in the drug trade for one who chose to make it his everything.
