The Routledge Handbook of European Sociology explores the main aspects of the work and scholarship of European sociologists during the last sixty years (1950-2010), a period that has shaped the methods and identity of the sociological craft. Sokratis Koniordos is Professor of Sociology at the University of Crete. His Main research areas: economic sociology, sociology of work, the social effects of the current crisis. He has published 16 volumes and several research articles.

Alexandros-Andreas Kyrtsis is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Athens.
