This book offers insight into the Lord's grace and forgiveness. It tells of His providence during times of struggles since the beginning of creation and gives us a way out of them. All we have to do is give it all to Him; submit to the Lord as Mary did and allow the Christ Child to be born. You will be fed with the Word of God by reading this book and those who are in need of physical food will be fed by your purchase of this book. All royalties will go to a local food bank.

Although these splendid little verses are laid out to cover the full span of Our Lord's earthly life as we observe it in the Liturgical Calendar, most of them also stand individually on their own. While you will enjoy them all, some will speak to you personally and those you can set apart for more frequent use.

As I read through them, a phrase from Longfellow's great poem "The day is done" kept running through my mind. In seeking to be consoled he needs poems "not from the grand old masters / not from the bards sublime/ whose distant footsteps echo / through the corridors of time" but rather he wants to be soothed by the words of "some humble poet whose songs gushed from his heart......"

This is what the writer is giving us - words that "gushed from her heart" and the very sincerity in which they are written will not just be obvious, but be infectious.

The Right Reverend Donald F Harvey

Episcopal Vicar

Anglican Diocese of Canada

The Reverend Gertrude (aka Trudy) Hardy is from Spaniard's Bay, Newfoundland. She and her husband Randy currently live in Clayton, Ontario, where she is the Rector of Grace Anglican Church in The Anglican Diocese of Canada. Trudy and Randy have three children and seven grandchildren.

Growing up in Newfoundland Trudy has sweet memories of being well fed with lots of homemade bread and other traditional food. Trudy's favorite pastime is cooking and baking; she is passionate about feeding others and this book is a way of contributing to that passion. 100% of the royalties from the sales of this book will go to The Lanark County Foodbank.

This book was written as result of a University Project and Trudy prays that all will be well fed and that all will enjoy this taste of Scripture and want more. Amen
