Before the twenty-first century, very few people actually believed in a real devil. Now, we have millions of people worshiping him from coast to coast. America has made Satan the object of worship and the new superstar of this generation. The devil's portrait is sketched as a red-horned monster with a tail and pitchfork, a medieval time character who has become the object of laughter and comedy.
The devil is not a myth; he is a monster. The devil is not an idea or an evil concept. He is not a Hollywood actor, a sinister comic-book character; he's not an evil imagination or a conspiracy theory; he is very real. The devil is the master of deception, and he denies his very own existence. The greatest deception the devil has ever used on mankind is to make the world believe he does not exist; this is the devil's trump trick. The two things Satan hates: being exposed and being expelled.
The devil is called old because he was first seen in Genesis when he appeared to Adam and Eve. He is considered crafty because he sneaks into a person's life, trying to deceive and annihilate a person's mind, spreading discord, divination, and division, turning spouse against spouse, children against parents, parents against children, and nation against nation.
It was a very real devil that attacked Job. It was a very real devil that appeared to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. It was a very real devil that appeared to Jesus in the wilderness, saying, "If You are the Son of God, command these stones to be turned into bread." It was a very real devil that was defeated at the cross. It was a very real devil that was cast down from heaven, as his fall is recorded in Isaiah 14. It is a very real devil that will spend eternity in the lake of fire. It is a very real devil that wants to take every human being to hell.
The Lord's Prayer, "Deliver us from the evil one," is proof that there is a very real devil. Behind every temptation is the tempter. Behind every lie is the father of lies. Behind every murder is the devil, the murderer from the beginning. Behind every act of darkness is the prince of darkness. Behind every false light is the angel of light. Behind the daze of deception is the master of deception.
You can't believe in God without believing in the devil. Why? Because the same Bible that teaches there is a very real God teaches that there is a very real devil. It's amazing to me how many people who go to church and call themselves Christians believe in God but do not believe in a real devil. They believe in the Holy Spirit but not a demon spirit, especially not in their church. How can you believe in the cross and not believe in the devil?
When asking the average person, "Why did Jesus go to the cross?" They will say, "To save me!" That is true, but that is very elementary. Jesus went to the cross to defeat Satan! In the flesh, Jesus beat the devil with a simple, crude, and bloodstained cross. The point is, you cannot believe in the redemption of the cross and not believe in the purpose of the cross; and the purpose of the cross was to destroy a very real devil. It was the precious Seed of a virgin who crushed the devil's head to a woman's Soft Matte face powder, black powder, gunpowder. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross" (Colossians 2:15, NIV).
The hordes say, "I don't believe in the devil. The devil doesn't bother me!" The devil does not harass people who don't make a threat to him and are completely worthless in the kingdom of God.
Simmons, Matthew: - Christian Author and contributor, books: The Holy Bible: The Leningrad Codex (1000 AD) and The Codex Sinaiticus (written in 400 AD), The Soldier or The Apostate, The Exorcist Deliverance Ministry Heresy, Eternal Security?, Roman Catholicism: Mystery Babylon: The Purple, Scarlet Harlot, Abusing the Lord's Name in Vain, Sin, the Leprosy of the Soul, Minutes in Hell, The Revelation of the Christ, Jesus Freaks, Three Days in the Bowels of the Earth, Demonology of King James (1597), Fall of Satan, Martin Luther: The Jews and Their Lies. The Soldier of the Cross (these individual books are made out of the chapters from the book, Hijacked, to hand out individually). Most importantly, pick up the Bible, the Word of God. Search the rich veins of the gold mine of the sacred Scripture. The Word of God holds the title deeds to your eternal soul. The Word of God is the Magna Carta of liberty and holds the promises of the diamond-jewel royalty of heaven. The devil loves to see the Word of God collect dust, year after year, and never be read, and therefore, it is powerless. The Word of God is powerless until you read it, believe it, speak it, act upon it, and live by it. For the Word of God is for all people who believe it, seek it, and read it. We need to stop debating the Word of God and start declaring the Word of God. When you hear the Word, do the Word!I was sucked into the bowels and heartbeat of this supernatural war. When God called me to this ministry, I had an LLC roofing company, and God closed that door. He wanted me to carry a cross, crucified and sanctified. This ministry has prepared me, broken me and crushed me! It has brought me down to the bowels of despair. The cross has kept me in the fetters of sweet slavery. It has crushed my pity and peacock pride. It has crushed my arrogance. It has kept me on my knees before the throne and desperate for Jesus. Crushed is the god of self on the throne of my soul. I started this ministry out of the fountain of obedience, not for glory. This ministry is a cross that I carry; it is heavy; it is weighty, and it crushes me for God's glory. Out of tragedy, He turned it into blessings; He took my old song and made it a symphony.Testimonies of what I have experienced and testimonies I hope to experience: I stood before the Lord like Isaiah. I experienced rejection like Joseph. I went through a wilderness like Job. I've warned like Noah. I was given a thorn like Paul. I saw the fallen angels described in Jude 1:6. I experienced seeing demons penned in Ephesians 6. I experienced persecution like Peter. I have experienced a born-again experience like every apostle. Lastly, I hope to be raptured like Elijah and walk with God like Enoch until I am not. This book took a lifetime to write from a story, a testimony, a ministry, and sound doctrine biblically. Share this book with people you love, people in the deepest depths of darkness, people in addictions, and anyone else in the gloomy pits and prisons, from an 8x10 room to the four corners of the Earth! Let us unite and fight this war together and be soul-winners! Don't just keep Jesus in the church house; get Him in their house! Don't keep Him in there; get Him out there! It's the last call to win the lost! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! IN JESUS NAME! AMEN!"...behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee..."-Matthew 19:27 (KJV)
