It contains a brief explanation of the theoretical calculation methods used for obtaining scattering characteristics of these objects. It provides working examples for the analysis of electromagnetic wave scattering processes by different objects.

Oleg I. Sukharevsky has been working in the field of applied mathematics and computational electrodynamics since 1972, when he received a diploma in computational mathematics from the Gorky Kharkіv State University and joined the Govorov Kharkіv Military Academy of Air Defense as an engineer. In 1993, he held a doctor of science degree in radar from the Govorov Kharkіv Military Academy of Air Defense. Presently he is currently a leading scientific researcher at the Scientific Center of Air Forces, Ivan Kozhedub Kharkіv National Air Force University, Kharkіv, Ukraine. His main areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the mathematical theory of diffraction and radar targets scattering characteristics.

Vitaly A. Vasilets has been working in the field computational electrodynamics since 1992. He received a diploma degree in radio engineering from Zhitomir Higher Military School of Radio Electronics of Air Defense in 1991 and joined the Govorov Kharkіv Military Academy of Air Defense as a postgraduate. In 2006, he held a doctor of science degree in radar from Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University. Presently he is a leading scientific researcher in the Scientific Center of Air Forces, Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University, Kharkiv, Ukraine.
