Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Schulpädagogik, Note: 1,0, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, den Oberbegriff Schulabsentismus und die darin zusammengefassten Phänomene und Ursachen "des unerlaubten Fernbleibens von der Schule" näher zu erläutern, sodass primär angehende und praktizierende Lehrkräfte aber auch Eltern für diese Thematik sensibilisiert werden. Nachdem die Thematik Schulabsentismus viele Jahre eher stiefmütterlich behandelt wurde, wird das Thema derzeit zunehmend in der Fachwelt als auch in der Öffentlichkeit diskutiert. Schätzungen gehen davon aus, dass zwischen 3% bis 5 % der Schülerinnen und Schüler eines Jahrganges in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, trotz der gesetzlich verankerten Schulpflicht, regelmä ig oder dauerhaft den Unterricht versäumen. Obwohl unklar ist, wie viele Schüler tatsächlich den Unterricht regelmä ig oder dauerhaft meiden, herrscht in den einzelnen Fachbereichen darüber Einigkeit, dass das häufige Schulschwänzen eine Bedrohung für die weitere schulische Entwicklung als auch darüber hinaus darstellt. Es besteht ein wesentlich erhöhtes Risiko für eine negative Lebensperspektive im Erwachsenenalter, wie z.B. Arbeitslosigkeit, Drogenkonsum, physische und psychische gesundheitliche Probleme und Delinquenz. Jedoch verläuft die Entfremdung des Schülers von der Schule nicht schlagartig, sondern es kann eher ein "langsames Wegdriften von Unterricht und Schule" beobachtet werden. Folglich sollten besonders Lehrkräfte ein nötiges Grundwissen über Formen, Anzeichen und Ursachen von Schulabsentismus haben, um frühzeitig präventive Ma nahmen einzuleiten. Demzufolge möchte ich in der vorliegenden Arbeit besonders Lehrkräfte für die Thematik Schulabsentismus sensibilisieren, da letztendlich sie es sind, die eine Entwicklung des schulischen Verhaltens der Schüler direkt im Unterricht beobachten können.
