Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit / Sozialarbeit, Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Immer häufiger liest und hört man aus den Nachrichten über Gewalt an Schulen, auch in Deutschland. Für viele Kinder ist Gewalt immer noch das naheliegendste Mittel mit Konflikten umzugehen. Sie haben keine andere Möglichkeit zur Lösung ihrer Probleme gelernt und verfügen über keine Verhaltensalternativen. Doch Konflikte in der Schule treten schon vorher auf. Schüler beschimpfen und mobben sich gegenseitig und werden vor den Lehrern schlecht gemacht, bis sich so mancher Schüler nicht mehr in die Klasse traut, geschweige denn sich auf die Arbeit konzentrieren kann. Bis es schlie lich zu Prügeleien, Pöbeleien und Verletzungen kommt. Die Fähigkeit zur friedlichen Konfliktlösung ist bei vielen Schülern nur unzureichend entwickelt, da im Elternhaus häufig die Kenntnisse und/oder die Zeit fehlen, mit Kindern kreativ nach fairen Lösungen zu suchen. Auch in der Schule wird immer noch mehr in die Nacharbeit, also in Polizeieinsatz an der Schule, in Jugendstrafeinrichtungen und Sozialarbeit investiert, als in die Konfliktvorbeugung und -bearbeitung. Dabei stellt die Schüler-Streit-Schlichtung ein geeignetes Verfahren dar, Konflikte in geschützter Atmosphäre mit Hilfe eines unparteiischen Streitschlichters zu besprechen und zu lösen. In der folgenden Hausarbeit möchte ich mich mit der Konfliktbewältigung in Schulen auseinandersetzen. Dabei befasse ich mich zunächst mit der Definition von Konflikt und Mediation und gehe dann auf die Möglichkeit der Konfliktbewältigung mittels Schulmediation näher ein. Ich möchte aber nicht auf den Konflikt zwischen Lehrern und Schülern eingehen, sondern mich auf Streitigkeiten zwischen Schülern, und dabei speziell auf die Schüler-Streitschlichtung beschränken.
