Nun, hier finden sie dazu Antworten. Etwa: Auch in pietistisch geprägten Gegenden ist die Liebe in vielerlei Varianten mächtig und zu vielen Überraschungen gut. Und wen interessiert, welche kapitalen Gaunereien die Dörfler als normal ansahen, findet hier viele Belege. Einige Personen des Romans sind unehelich geboren, was zur Handlung wesentlich beiträgt. Wer denkt, dies sei in der guten alten Zeit nicht typisch gewesen, wird auf den Bericht des Oberamts Ulm aus dem Jahr 1832 verwiesen. Dort ist beschrieben, dass gut 20 Prozent der Kinder des Oberamts unehelich geboren wurden. Wer wei wie etwa Bauern oder die Herrschaft damals ihre Mägde missbrauchten, wird diese Zahl nicht übertrieben finden.

Georg E. Schäfer hat eine Reihe Bücher geschrieben. Romane wie "Glück fließt zu denen, die lieben können" oder "Wenn der Kookaburra in die unendliche Weite führt". Dazu Fachbücher, etwa über Mythen, die Beteiligung der Bürger an politischen Entscheidungen (Open Government) und die Digitalisierung. Der Autor hat Physik, Mathematik und Informatik studiert. Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er in Wirtschaft und Ministerien.
