This is not just a poetry book.
This is a full-bodied experience-a cinematic, soul-bearing, unapologetically Black journey told in rhythm and truth.
In Scorpio Man: Black Roses and Revolution, Poet Larry Love delivers a fearless fusion of vulnerability and fire. Through the poetic lens of a Scorpio-intense, intuitive, and unfiltered-this collection invites readers into the emotional chambers of a Black man who feels deeply, loves hard, and lives loud in a world that dares him not to.
Told across four transformational arcs-"Venom and Devotion" (Love), "The Weight of Water" (Life), "The Final Sting Was Freedom" (Liberation), and "What Poison Couldn't Kill" (Rebirth)-this book bends genre and breaks silence.
You'll find:
Whether he's calling heaven, whispering in a poetry lounge, mourning a mother, confronting injustice, or rising from his own ashes, Scorpio Man is always truthful, tender, and ready for revolution.
If you've ever loved in the dark, cried in secret, or shouted in silence-this is your story too.
Love, Larry: - Larry Love, a South Los Angeles native born on October 25 in the heart of Scorpio Season, is a poet, spoken word artist, and storyteller whose work fuses raw emotion, cultural truth, and cinematic imagery. Known for his commanding stage presence and unflinching delivery, he channels the mystique and intensity of Scorpio energy into every performance. As founder and CEO of Creative Love Network, where poetry production meets personal transformation, Larry has written, directed, and produced acclaimed spoken word and musical stage plays that have stirred hearts and provoked thought on every stage they've touched. His voice has carried from the haunting echoes of Alcatraz to the sunlit shores of the Bahamas, and into classrooms and universities, where his words spark reflection, dialogue, and change on love, life, and justice.A youth mentor, husband, and father, Larry's artistry is rooted in love, legacy, and liberation-deeply informed by the Black experience and the ongoing fight for equity. His performances and writings confront the beauty and brutality of life, leaving audiences moved and challenged in equal measure. With "Scorpio Man: Black Roses & Revolution," he invites readers into a world where passion stings, truth cuts, and resilience blooms like a black rose through concrete.
