It starts with a historical sketch of Colombo and then gives a survey of the commercial aspects of the city, whereby are offered small notes on many business and commercial ventures that flourished do to the sea going trade. This book is also an account of the historical and descriptive commercial and industrial facts, figures and resources with numerous illustrations. This book is a reprint of the 1928 edition.
