We go through these dramatic fluctuations in emotions to familiarize us with them as to help us understand how we can affect others and how we can be affected deeply by those around us. I believe the goal is by knowing how our own emotions affect us we learn how not to neglect giving the next person the same consideration we are expecting. It is said we learn more from pain than happiness I believe that's not true, we gain knowledge from both and if we use these lessons correctly, we can give happiness and comfort the pain in ourselves and those we care about.
