Swami Paramananda (1884–1940) was a prominent Indian teacher and mystic who significantly influenced the spread of Vedanta in the United States. Paramananda established Vedanta Centers in New York and Boston, founded nonsectarian ashramas, and authored numerous works on Vedanta and spirituality.
