Wilkinson, Elisa: - Elisa was born in London at the outbreak of the second WW. Due to the danger from the falling bombs, she was brought by her mother to live with her grandparents, Edith and Robert Clayton, at Lake Cross Road, Stanley, West Yorkshire, in the home she lived throughout her childhood.

During that time, a neighbour, Mary Barmforth, often took care of her, but as Mary had TB, she was warned by her doctor never to have children. Mary inevitably became pregnant and died; she was buried in her wedding gown.

Mary first appeared to Elisa at a very young age and was to become Elisa's spirit guide. Throughout the years, she has saved Elisa when many dangerous situations have arisen. Mary is always recognised when she appears in her wedding attire.

As well as writing, Elisa helps her husband Eric in their businesses in both America and England. Eric has always encouraged Elisa in her research into the paranormal.

She also paints in oils and does knitting and sewing for the charities of her choice.

Her close friend, Del Iron Cloud, a Native American Indian, who is a renowned artist in Rapid City, South Dakota, USA, has also been of great support to her.

Del often quotes a saying from the great Lakota Sioux warrior chief Crazy Horse:

"Never lose faith in what you believe in."
