Karen specializes in the young child and those with special needs. She created the innovative THINK board book series (Schiffer Books) to teach analytical thinking skills for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and beginning readers. Karen holds a M.Ed from the Univ. of Puget Sound. She has been a long time member of the S.C.B.W.I., Women In Toys, I.B.P.A, and the Authors Guild. Karen lives in Arizona where she continues to create and write for children in support of literacy. She believes all children need to learn to read.
