Infonnationssicherheit ist damit zur 'Chefsache' geworden. Mit der Integration, Dezentralisierung und Vernetzung von Infonnationssystemen und der Vielfalt von Kommunikationsverbindungen und ZugriffsmOglichkeiten auf Infonnationsbesmnde nehmen die moglichen Gefahrdungen sensitiver Infonnationen stark zu. In offenen Netzen, Diensten und Benutzergruppen sowie'im Zusam- menwirken verteilter Rechner und Rechenzentren ist Sicherheit jedoch schwieriger zu realisieren als in 'closed-shop'-Rechenzentren oder geschlossenen Benutzer- gruppen. Ziel des BIFOA-Kongresses ist es, Sicherheitsprobleme und -losungen in netz- gestiitzten Infonnationssystemen ausfiihrlich zu diskutieren.
