Kai Gutenschwager leitet das Institut für Information Engineering an der Ostfalia Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften am Standort Wolfenbüttel, lehrt Wirtschaftsinformatik und arbeitet an Forschungsprojekten in Optimierung und Simulation mit Schwerpunkt auf der Supply Chain Simulation. Er war mehrere Jahre Leiter der Niederlassung Braunschweig der SimPlan AG sowie Professor für Informationssysteme an der Hochschule Ulm. Er ist aktiv in der Gesellschaft für Operations Research (GOR).
Markus Rabe leitet das Fachgebiet IT in Produktion und Logistik an der TU Dortmund, lehrt Materialflusssimulation und arbeitet an entsprechenden internationalen Forschungsprojekten. Er ist stellvertretender Sprecher der Fachgruppe "Simulation in Produktion und Logistik" in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Simulation (ASIM) und leitete mehrfach die gleichnamige ASIM-Tagung sowie Tracks zu Produktion und Logistik der Winter Simulation Conference. In der VDI-Gesellschaft Produktion und Logistik (VDI-GPL) ist er Mitglied im Fachausschuss FA 204 Modellierung und Simulation und leitet Richtlinienausschüsse.
Sven Spieckermann ist Sprecher des Vorstands des Simulations-dienstleisters SimPlan AG. Darüber hinaus hat er seit vielen Jahren Lehraufträge für Simulation am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt und der Technischen Universität Braunschweig inne. Er ist in der ASIM-Fachgruppe "Simulation in Produktion und Logistik" ebenso aktiv wie im VDI-GPL FA 204 und in der GOR.
Sigrid Wenzel leitet als Professorin an der Universität Kassel das Fachgebiet Produktionsorganisation und Fabrikplanung und ist stellvertretende geschäftsführende Direktorin des Institutes für Produktionstechnik und Logistik. In der ASIM ist sie stellvertretende Vorstandsvorsitzende sowie Sprecherin der Fachgruppe "Simulation in Produktion und Logistik". Gleichzeitig ist sie in der VDI-GPL Leiterin des FA 204, stellvertretende Leiterin des FA 205 "Digitale Fabrik" sowie Mitglied im Fachbeirat "Fabrikplanung und -betrieb"
